1. Who we are

Weston Super Frames are picture framers and mirror manufacturers at 17 Locking Road, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 3BY. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the information described here.

2. What we collect

Only what you give us. If you send an enquiry through this website that is your name and email address, which the form requires, and your telephone number and message if you choose to give them.

If you ring, email or come into the shop, we hold whatever you tell us. If you place an order we hold the details of the work and what it cost.

We do not take payment through this website and we do not collect special category data.

3. Why we hold it

To answer your enquiry, quote for the work, and carry it out. Where you have asked us for a price, our lawful basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and afterwards to perform it.

We do not send marketing email, and we do not sell, rent or trade your information to anybody.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are kept for 24 months and then deleted. Records of completed orders are kept for six years, which is the period we may need them for tax and for any question about the work.

5. Who else is involved

Our website and email providers host this site and carry your enquiry to us; they process it on our instructions and for no other purpose. Where an order requires something to be sourced — a print from a publisher, for instance — we pass on only what that supplier needs.

6. Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies. There is nothing to accept or decline, and no tracking of you across other websites.

We use Plausible Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Plausible sets no cookies, collects no personal data and does not follow visitors between sites.

Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. On the contact page only, OpenStreetMap supplies the map — it is embedded without cookies, but as with any embedded content your browser requests it from them. The address is written out as text on that page if you would rather not.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy, correct anything wrong, delete it where we are not required to keep it, restrict or object to what we are doing with it, or provide it in a portable form.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you raised it with us first.

8. Changes

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
